• The City Palace is the largest palace complex in Rajasthan. On a hill surrounded by crenelated walls, this white structure stands majestically. The main gates to the palace are the ‘hathi Pol’, ‘Bara Pol’, and ‘tripoli gate’. The colorful mosaics in glass that decorate its walls give the courtyard its name, ‘Mor chauk’ or ‘peacock courtyard’. Blue and white ceramics distinguish the Chini Chitrashala. • One of the best examples of Mughal Rajput architecture is the Lake Palace or Jag Niwas. Lake Pichola’s turquoise waters give rise to it.
